Haven't played with the EAW BUT I've heard other EAW cabinets... stick with JBL buddy ;)

Two different critters.  I would think your choice should be based on how the sub will be used.  The EAW product most likely has rigging hardware since it is designed to be flown with the 750 system.  It is trapazoid in shape.  The JBL 4719 would most likely be more comparable to the EAW SB528 in cabinet volume and specs.  I have used both....and have the EAW SB528 in inventory.  Without having the specs in hand....it seemed to me the JBL was a little more efficient.  Both represent very low frequencies well...but I wouldn't call them "punchy".  its an opinion...
