Rental software for 2024 and beyond
« on: February 20, 2024, 03:33:07 AM »

What are people using these days for warehouse management, rental planning and generating quotes?
I've been looking at converting from Excel to something more streamlined.
I need pretty basic stuff,  warehouse management (AKA How much stuff do I got) with two equipment locations, equipment/rental planning (AKA what's booked and when) and an option to generate quotes. I do my invoicing already in another system.

Current-RMS has been great for us. Has options for multiple gear locations, creates nice looking quotes. Relatively inexpensive and it's cloud based so easy to access from anywhere.

Lasso now has rental management available. Worth looking into, especially if you deal with a lot of freelancers, as it's a great scheduling tool as well. Web-based.

Last time I dealt with Lasso as a freelancer, I thought it was pretty obnoxious, especially compared to the email lists that had been used prior.  Much less transparency, too many places to click to get relevant information, and less information provided.  Hopefully it's improved since then.

We use Flex for gear, Lasso for people, and Asana for information.
