We're a school and would like to wander around our school socials with a video camera and project directly onto our cyc screen through our multi-media projector.  Computer is in control room, which is 30m away from projector.  I know cheap and good are somewhat of a contradiction in terms, but is there a wireless camera out there that could cover this requirement.  Money is an issue but we don't want to do this if the end product is not reasonable.  Any suggestions please?

I'd suggest looking into renting from a multi-media or TV production company. Even higher-end systems can suffer interference  depending on conditions, so you'll want to have a dry run first. Stay away from any sources of interference, and keep a good line of sight between transmitter and reciever.

Are you wanting to walk around with a camera with no wires?  The comment about the computer throws me as I'm not sure what that would have to do with a camera image.  There are some short range, limited resolution wireless cameras used for security, RVs, baby monitors, etc.  30m or about 100' may be outside the range of some of the cheaper models.  You can get inexpensive wireless web cams that supposedly has a 150' range, but I would have to question how that image would look once projected in a big screen.

The 30fps, high resolution images you see from broadcast and military wireless cameras are typically fairly expensive, some of the SD/HD broadcast backpack transmitters used by broadcasters are $30,000 just for the transmitter.
