Gear list?
Do you own it all or did you subrent?

First off, you've got the coolest possible initials - I'm severely jealous.

I own all that stuff – which proves how stupid I am. I spent 18 years in finance, have a master’s degree in that stuff, have 5 kids b/w 12 – 21 years old that I wanted to give the same educational opportunities to, thus audio, my true love, was out of the question. So I covertly study my passion while making money snowballing other people’s money, plotting the whole time to do this concert production thing if my ship came in. Well, it did, so in Jan ’04 I had to choose b/w semi-retirement with a sailboat (2nd love), and traveling around the majority of this little planet’s wet surface with my amazingly beautiful wife OR throw said money into a hole where breaking even before death is considered a screaming success. I did the latter and have loved almost every minute of it thus far. Given the similarly distorted personalities on this site, PSW might stand for psychologically sick ward.

Most of the stuff I bought used, which was a pain that I’m tending to avoid these days. The gear list for this event comprised most of the stuff my little company owns:

Hi Lee - to my knowledge, I was the 1st in the country to buy these things a few years ago. I've heard that a couple of others have since. This may have something to do the fact they cost me a little over $15,000 for a pair of demos. As far as I can tell they won't pay back that cost via rental anytime soon, if ever, but I can't stomach ground stacks and inappropriate fly points.

They are made in the Netherlands by Prolyte. Mine are the smallest model RT-H30V. They are rated for loads up to about 1,700lb, certified to the European TUV standards, and can handle windspeeds to 46mph when about 200lb of ballast is applied to the ground support sections. My 8 box KF730 hang with motor, chain, and cables is less than 800lb and the towers feel like they are almost unloaded with that hang.

Hi Langston-
I've flown Nexo GeoT's from the Prolyte towers and I will agree, these things are the coolest and handiest things for getting gear up in the air when overhead points are not availible. I think there are some pics on Nexo's website that I shot with our T rig and the Prolyte towers. I just love these things.

Hi Langston,

Those are BH760's along the front, are they not?

Didn't see them in your list, that's all.

Good point Jamie - that was (I think) the last show I used them, and though I have them in my inventory I'm neither using or offering them for rental anymore because of my preference for the Danley's. The EAW's carried quite well up into the stands in that configuration, but as you can imagine, it was quite uncomfortable to be near them during the louder portions of the program. :) In a few weeks when my schedule calms down a bit the BH760's will go up for sale.

Hey Jerry! I was going to warn you about the full name requirement - so be polite and do what the man says. :)

Re: the 650’s, I've sent you a PM.

Anyway, thanks so much for the kudos - that kind of stuff piques the interest of folks that I need to meet. :) I love this stuff but need a whole lot more experience. In the mean time, God keeps blessing me with folks that are extremely encouraging - and patient with my ignorance.

The Newsong shows were by far the most audience captivating I’ve done this year. They really hit a nerve in the Body of Christ and it’s fun to see even the old folks stand with tears in their eyes during Arise My Love. I've never seen anything like it other than during the Hallelujah chorus in Handel's Messiah.

Hello again, I did not realize that my name would not come up when I sent you the message. I went back and fixed it on my profile. I am one of those guys that have been reading on this board and telling people about it for years but have never really posted. You are one of the few guys that I have met while working. You would think I would have met more over the years as much as I travel. Maybe I should talk more. Anyway, I guess I will have to deal with the NEWBIE title for a while or just post more.
