Eurolite!?
« on: June 08, 2006, 10:46:38 AM »

Hi

I'm doing lights in a local church in Norway. And we are about to buy some new lighting. Mainly par64s!

What I wondered was, is Eurolights par 64 a good deal? Others, like DTS cans is two or three times the price. Do you know if Eurolite has parcans of some quality? Are they worth the price. (about 40$ each, I think).. Or is it junk?

Do they include lamps? Cheap "Lamp included" lamps often don't last for very long.
Especially in an installation, you can't go wrong with cheaper cans, as they're ultimately just a vessel to hold the lamp. If you're able, get one to have a look at to make sure it has the necessities: Safety wire from body to back, Good tilt lockoff mechanism; Heat-proof supply cable; Lamp fits in and out easily, but rests inside the fitting securely.
If the unit measures up, you should be good, provided that they aren't going to be subjected to excessive wear and tear.
