Ultimate Ears
« on: May 21, 2006, 08:40:08 PM »

I've been reading some raving reviews about the UE-10 PRO. Everything that I read points to the fact that if I get these things...well, I've reached the top of the mountain Cool

For those of you that use these and have artist using them, what are you/they saying?

I was leaning toward the Sensphonic stuff, but after hearing about these its seems to be the logical choice to pick the Ultimate Ears.

Go with Pro7's if you primarily do a "rock mix".

Band I'm with has the UE7s.  I like them a lot.  Take a little getting used to, but they're great.

The tonal balance does take some getting used to (just like any IEM) but once you are dialed, you are in there like swimwear, so to speak... From what I understand, the UE10 was designed as a 'diva' earpiece while the UE7 is designed for more of a 'rock mix', with drums and bass being a major player in the mix...  now that I've landed back @ FOH, I love my UE7's for line check in between bands, mainly for the isolation while the 'other' band is on.
