Electro Voice EV Xi1183/64 X-array full range loudspeakers
« on: February 23, 2006, 06:58:20 PM »

Hi. Does anyone know where i can find these high end EV loudspeakers? cant seem to find much info about em on google, but they create the best sound ive ever heard at a show.
I think i might start boycotting google because of the lack of info i find when i use it.
Anyway yes, im told theyre around 200 lbs per speaker, so the setup cant be cheap. any info would be appreciated

First you need to use your REAL name as per board rules.

Second Have you tried EV's website? I did and got this right off.

Are you looking for a place to buy?

If so where are you located, I see NY, there are several people up there who might be able to help.

Hi Steve,

I own 4 of these boxes and they do kick alot of butt.
The biggest obstacle is that you can not ground stack these
boxes. The horn is almost in the middle unless your He-man
I don't think getting them up above 4-5ft is possible.
I am putting together a system with 4-1183 2-2181 and 4 - 1152's.
With my 16 Proprietary sub's I'm shooting toward festival's with 5000-6000 spectator's. I was looking at 2x 2123 for a delay above FOH possible to go for 10000. I don't have a lot of experience providing for show 's this large so I will be ramping up to this level over the next year one show at a time. Don't forget the processor. I'm using Ashly's CL 3.24 so one processor cover 's all 6 output's per side.
FOH H-HM-LM-L-HDF-LDF
Good Luck
