Cheap Movers
« on: February 17, 2006, 07:11:12 pm »

hi guys, i really need quick answers so if you have thoughts chuck 'em in.

I have been given the oppportunity to buy 4 Futurelight MH-660's (spots) for a grand a piece. i know the globes are expensive, but i have used these particular lights before and they have lots of features, even thoguh they are old (not ancient, but not new either).

They are being sold because the company in question has moved more toward sound and are slowly selling off their lighting inventory.

So, i have only used them for a weekend and have never owned movers before. what are the traps i am looking for? What are the issues with movers/these lights in particular going to be? is it actually a good deal or have i missed something?

the main i am thinking at the moment is that i will need to get roadcases for them as they are being sold loose - anything else apart from data lead (i already do sound and these are 3pin data lights so there are no problmes there).

Also any tips on maintainence of my new purchases (if that what they become) would also be great.

Any thoughts about this deal would be greatly apreciated.
