Syncing lights to Live audio?
« on: January 20, 2006, 10:31:17 PM »

Hello;
Im a AV tech at a highschool in Canada we just purchased a Colortran Encore 24/48 console used(were a highschool). We have a rock concert coming up on Febuary 23 and the board we had temporarily had a audio input and midi on the back this one does not it has midi only. I want to run the audio from the band off a montor out put onthe board or off the speakers to run the lights off of(make them flash to the musicthere not motorized yet, upgrading next year to source four revolutions) I want to run the monitor to an audio input on a computer and then run it through a midi out some how to control them. What software will do this? If there isnt how can I do this?

I dont pretend to know what im doing I've looked around on google im  16 I was hoping you could help.

Board info:http://colortran.com/catalog/cencore.html

Thanks
PS If this is completely wrong please let me know.
