Help with buying 12" Powered SUB
« on: December 18, 2005, 12:25:55 PM »

i'm new this forum, so hi Smile

I purchased a sub on Ebay, haven't paid 4 it yet, am able to back out of buying it.

Wondering what u guys think about this Sub - for $200 Aussie, about $150 American. It'll just be used to home theatre / xbox gaming and of course I want to push it a bit with music. I'm no pro-audio guy and for this kind of price I'm not expecting earth shattering results, but yeah; if u have a few mins to spare having a look at it and tell me if u think its worth it I'd appreciate it. cheers.

Here is the link :

I find the spec of -3dB at 20Hz highly Suspect.
But I'm sure that this sub will kick butt for gaming at average listening levels.  You probably won't be disapointed unless your like me and you want to knock all of the china over, and listen to your houses framing creak and groan with Sub audible rumble.

You could do better with some DIY Projects for output.  But probably not for 150 US dollars.
