I am shopping for another generation of high powered projection. The big stuff. The main tent. The Grand ballroom. The 10,000 Lumen plus DLP inventory. What are you guys using that really gets it done? Which one of these units will have enough shelf life so that I can afford it in the long run? How well do the stack? How well do they edge blend?

Hey Ken,
A buddy of mine works for one of the large national systems integrators that has an office here in atlanta, and does a lot of work with the high end projectors.
He has one very bad Christie story (real bad chimneystack issues in a sub par mounting location), but dozens of stories about minor annoyances with Barcos, and Barco has a major office here in Atlanta, so he should be getting good support.
I've asked them this question before, and he's told me point blank that if he needs to win a bid, he's going to spec a Christie, but that if the install were for him, he would go with Digital Projection.
Digital Projection is also headquartered about 25miles North of Atlanta.
Hope that helps.
