From what I remember, most of Geddy's sound comes from a mic'd little G-K combo amp... not very arena rock to have sitting onstage Razz.  Due to us Cannucks having an odd sense of humor most of the time, I would imagine the appliances (or vending machines) behind Geddy are to fill the space, and balance out the stage visually with Alex's HK stacks.  They're even miced........

edit: Well what do you know, already answered my question. anyways, if you go on Rush's website there is a page with all the gear they use. the guitarist uses quite a bit of Behringer Twisted Evil
