Just curious what everyones looks like, plus i took pictures lastnight so i wanted to show off see if anyone had any suggstions or comments.

Why are the comps and gates on the floor?

Put them in a smaller rack that you can set up at a height that doesn't require you to squat on the floor to adjust the things.

And since you're gonna ask "how often during a set does a dynamics processor need to be adjusted?" the answer is: the band plays a slower/quieter song so the drummer plays softer.  As a result, the gates won't open, or will click, unless they're readjusted or bypassed.

I see this soooooo often it makes me wonder if the dude mixing actually knows what the fuck he's doing.

Andy you're such a realist. Ya worry me 'cuz that's what I was thinking! Tiring of wiring a rack full of crap, I have joined the O1V96 camp. Now if I could just find an ADA8000 in stock (backordered from American Musical Supply since mid October).

BTW anyone got some inside poop on O1V file formats so I can do some custom programming? Cursoring to each stinking letter sucks. Now that I've paid hard earned cash I guess Yamaha can come out with version III that accepts a USB keyboard. FWIWBIT (for what it's worth besides I'm tipsy) the O1V96V2 Midi interface works well with the MD8. Heck, if you're gonna hijack a thread go for the gusto, eh? My apologies to all in advance. Why use a USB keyboard and only be able to type when you can use your laptop and Studio Manager and be able to type as well as access all the features of the console. It is much faster to patch via SM, and the channel view is much easier to read than the actual console when you are trying to see how everything is set up.

My rig. Don't laugh. I have added a few things since this pic. My first show with this rig is in less than a week for my friend's band at the local "Teen Center," which used to be a town storage shed. What's funny is that there is a shed style venue just 100ft away. The town had the Beach Boys and Creedence Clearwater play there recently. I told him I'd do it for free to get my name out there. A lot of the local bands know me, but they don't know I have my own business now.  Razz

I jumped right up from using a pair of EV Eliminator 1x18s and a pair of crate 1x18s to this 4 subs. I push 1400 watts into each one. I couldnt tell you about to. It is a big differnce from what i use to have. Big thump.

I use the PC For recording my gigs and music inbetween. Just a 4 input soundcard. I subgroup bass guitar and vocals on one and then guitar and drums on another.
