What do you use the 8024 for?

I just plug straight into the panel! Very Happy

I watch the RTA with a measurement mic during some events with the 8024.

Here's a pic of our DJ club rig.  It's not a good pic but none of mine are.  I do feel the greenery is a nice touch though.

I didn't run that show but I did do one with the same rig that this fellow was trying to stick his head through the screen.  So we decided to see how much abuse he cound take before he left.  On the 260 I started on the low gain at -6.0 and walked it up slowly to 1.8 before he picked up his backpack and finally left.  It was early in the evening so there were not many people in the room to hear the Bass wash.  But thats the way the DJ's are they want more "18's" than you can shake a stick at.  Its fine with me, the more they want be to bring in the less I have to turn it up and the less abuse they take.

Just curious what everyones looks like, plus i took pictures lastnight so i wanted to show off see if anyone had any suggstions or comments.

Why are the comps and gates on the floor?

Put them in a smaller rack that you can set up at a height that doesn't require you to squat on the floor to adjust the things.

And since you're gonna ask "how often during a set does a dynamics processor need to be adjusted?" the answer is: the band plays a slower/quieter song so the drummer plays softer.  As a result, the gates won't open, or will click, unless they're readjusted or bypassed.

I see this soooooo often it makes me wonder if the dude mixing actually knows what the fuck he's doing.
