Broad Spectrum Graphics Insertion

I am looking for a graphics insertion device that will insert the same crawling banner or logo on all channels of a television distribution system simultaneously.

Any takers?

All channels is tough. For the local access channel I run, we use the Aavelin MagicBox. It's nice. I suppose you buy a ton of these and insert them on each channel, but that would seem real expensive. Smile

Try this:

It is a Chyron piece designed for emergency inserts.

Thanks, but it appears that it works like the ChyTV system which means you have to put a unit at each TV. My be practical for smaller systems but not for a large deployment.

If I understand this correctly, this would go into master control and would go into the modulators prior to hitting the amp.  You would need one per channel, not one per TV.

If it worksthe way the regular ChyTV system works it would be at the TV.

I will contact someone at Cyron and see if they can fill us in.

Gene,

I guess I am the only one that has any experience in this area.

Chyron is currently providing 25 dual channel ChyTv Video Emergency and Security Alert systems to a Federal Government user with a option of increasing to a total of 60 systems.  The purpose is to give security personal access to a large complex (couple of buildings) to alert via existing cable and internet services any emergency that may arise, ie:  fire, evacuate building, lock down of building, etc.  We have written a customer GUI front end for this specific customer at their request to simplify the entry of information at additional cost.

In general this customer has a 85 channel CATV system servicing a number of buildings.  The incoming RF signals are demoded inserted into ChyTV remodulated and sent out to the respective channels.  The content for the ChyTV is preprogrammed by the security operation using Power Point and saved to a central CPU with ChyTools software.  All of the ChyTv systems are on a common ethernet and are addressable by individual IP address, in groups or in total via the central CPU, all input for call up is from locations around the complex via a hot key selection to call up a menu to select the information to be sent to whatever destination is desired.  In addition the output is also being streamed via a web server to the total intranet service for display on all PC's.

Long term intent is to add Teletext input to the system ( this part is being explored by the end user).

Gene,

Recently on a thread I moderate a question has arisen about how the /Two
Channel ChyAlert Video Emergency and Security Alert System is deployed.
If you could look at the thread and answer on line or e-mail me a
response that I can post it would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you could do it either way depending on how many tv you have as opposed to how many channels you want it on.

10 TV's with 110 channels, deploy it on the TV's.

100 TV's with 25 channels, deploy it on the channels.
