Good/Bad News
« on: August 30, 2005, 10:16:27 AM »

The good news is my mixer case came today and my heath fits in there perfectly.

It also has wheel and a handle...its a gator one i picked up off musicians friend.

The bad news is The case doesnt split into two. It just has latches on one side and hinges on the other so  the top of the case will go to a full 90 degrees. (im sure you get what im saying)

So the reason im bringing this up here is...would it be worth it to have a case like that? or should i send it back...or should i just take it out of its case every gig?

suggestions..thoughts?

If you can use it for a large snake and / or other large format cables, great. Otherwise, send it back. I borrowed a mixer with a case like that once from a friend; man the lid was really in the way, and to make matters worse, he had screwed the mixer down to the case!!
Mixer cases without removable lids are just a bad idea.. period  Mad

WHAT THE ???

I downloaded the pdf spec sheet from there site and whilst it doesn't mention the hinges, one of the 3 pics clearly shows a lid totally removed from the case.

Having seen that in a pic, I would not be expecting a lid that can't be removed.

I'd return it and point out the pic in the pdf is what you were expecting.

That's just about what I paid for a Road Ready with wheels for my LX7ii.  The lid comes off that one.

I agree.  If you can't use it for something else, send it back and get something else.  It will be more trouble that it's worth.
