I don't know about corrective EQ curve to compensate for fundamental roll off, but I wonder what Mickey Hart's "Beam" would look like graph'd - by correcting the physical limitations.. Smile
What was thing, like 8' long?

Its a beautiful thing, how many will it take to produce 142dB at 20Hz!?

When will they become available for purchase!!!!

By my calculations, approximately 12 PB-12 subwoofers would be required (based on the max continuous SPL spec).

snip-

To think that this is the offspring of what I had initially requested for a wacky home theater subwoofer...  The result turned out to be powerful enough for professional applications and economical enough to allow enough to be used for the desired output.  Now to find someone who will put two in their HT.  Shocked

The first time I saw its picture it instantly reminded me of the Bose bass cannon. The touring "Phantom of the Opera" used one on each side of the proscenium arch. The first time I saw it I wondered what the sewer pipe was for. The pipe organ recording distorted massively on the opening theme every night. I don't know how noticeable it was in the house, but it was nasty 5' to10' away on stage.
Tell Tom I apologize for mentioning Bose in the same message with his newest work.

Sum- I run 4 Bassmaxx subs and am located in the Bay Area. If you want to check them out I'll be doing a stage for Gay Pride in SF on Sunday, June 26th at the corner of Hyde & Market.
