AudioHead Amplifiers
« on: February 05, 2005, 11:02:37 AM »

Hi,

I've been watching the board for a few weeks now, thought it was about time I introduced myself.  I work as a freelancer doing various bits of live sound, installation work and event management for people whilst doing my degree in Media Technology (Audio, video and broadcast engineering).

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with AudioHead amps.  I was loaded one for one of the systems at my festival http://www.somethingobscure.org.uk over the summer, it seemed to perform very well.  Not sure what model number it was but I used it to drive a MAC 2x 18" Sub (1200w RMS).

Having looked at the website http://www.sourcemanufacturing.co.uk they appear to be very good value but there are very few specs listed, so I just wanted to know if they are as good a deal as they look.

Thanks for all your help, hopefully I will be speaking to you all in the future.

R.

Hi Robert,

You might remember us, we were the ones who spec'd and ran the largest marquee at little park '05 and ran the main outdoor stage in '04.

The audio head amp was 2800 watts but never went over 50% on either the 218i or the martin design Fane Y Bins...

It wasnt completely loaded with audiohead either....

The rest were sourced from http://www.acdisco.com.

Namely us.

But keep up the good work with organising the festivals!!

I hear you have another one coming up:

keep us posted.

Regards.

P.S Speak to us we did have an offer on audiohead, ah well too late..
