"Bing" vs "Bink"
« on: March 14, 2005, 11:52:21 PM »

I'm guessing that the standard frequency of a "bing" is what, 1kHz?  So then what would the standard frequency of a "Bink" be?

It's these ideas that keep my awake at night... Rolling Eyes

I've never measured but I think that Bink comes here 3 or 4 times a day.  I'm sure he'll chime in at some point and set us straight Smile

A simple calc to determine Bink's freq..........

4 cycles per (24hrs x 60min x 60sec)= .0000463 Hz

LOL! You guys have waaaay too much time on your hands.

There are actually two frequencies of Bink. One involving visits to LAB without posting and one involving posts to LAB. The posts by themselves for the new LAB design stand at 1.18 per day as of this posting which makes the frequency be 0.000014 Hz. Mighty low. However, the silent supporting frequency of visits without posts might be in the ballpark of what you suggest, 3-4 cycles per day. Sometimes zero, sometimes much more.

Apropos of nothing, Bink prefers 440Hz for his 'bing'.  Cool

When I was in the military, we referred to a "ping" as a 1Khz burst for navigation re: SONAR.
It was also a term used to describe the sonic sound a hair makes as it erupts from the scalp of a new basic trainee.

Bing is a new one on me.
I have to agree with Bink about the time factor.

Although Bink going to DC would be a problem here.

Can't have someone from the coast without having someone from Middle America on the ticket!

Having said that, Geri and Bink are both reasonable men, so why the hell they'd want to abuse themselves (and their families and friends) by running for President is beyond me.
