crest pro 200 series. Any good???
« on: March 01, 2005, 11:11:53 PM »

I noticed this series a while ago, but havent heard them yet.
I've used the CA and Pro series, and find them to be amazingly reliable.
Has anybody used these amps??? Weight seems to good to be true.

Have a show in the West End (London)which has about 25 Pro 200s in. The amp room gets very hot 42 degrees Celcius plus in the summer and when it rains there can be upto 1 inch of water down there (its underground). Show has been running for nearly two years, 7-8 shows per week, and we never had a problem at all.

So in my view they sound good, they are reliable, good weight and good value for money.

'nuff said

I use them exclusively on my mains, and wish I could spring for them everywhere. Quiet, powerful, efficient, lightweight... they don't screw around. Can't say enough good things about them... do a search in the new LAB archives, I believe I've said more in the past.

Any good? Yes!
The 9200 is not as authoritative on low end as the 9001 (now discontinued  Sad ) but a lot easier on the back.

I use the 200's for my FOH as well. I was using the CA's but switched when these came out...CA's are now on monitor duty. Very solid build (as most anything by Crest is), lightweight, and VERY clean sounding. I run my amps wide open and attenuate with my crossover...no hiss or hum at all.

I definitely recommend.
