Peavey Mediamatrix
« on: February 23, 2005, 11:26:04 AM »

I need to purchase a few Peavey MM-8802 BOB's.  Does anyone know a good place to get these from?  Also, what should I expect to pay?  I have a price from 1 place, but I'd like to see if it is reasonable.  I'd also be interested to hear any comments/thoughts on the Mediamatrix system in general.  Thanks.

A theater I'm involved with is also looking at Mediamatrix, but as far as we'd heard you have to pay for some consulting from Peavey before they'll sell them to you.
We'll be making our final decisions after AES next year, so unfortunately, I don't know anything more than that.

This is not the worst time of the year to visit the factory for MM training if you live in the snow belt..  Very Happy

Actually, we already have the Mediamatrix system; it just needs to be expanded.  It is really pretty simple to install and operate (CampusPA - if you have any questions before you buy, I can try and answer).  It is my understanding that Peavey doesnt sell these directly at all.  Is there anyone that has bought one of these systems or parts?

If I get trained can I buy and install my own MM stuff?

Thanks, jc, I'll drop you a PM when we're closer to deadline.

I would suggest that you call Peavey MediaMatrix direct and ask them who they suggest that you purchase the units from.  If you already have MediaMatrix perhaps you can go back to who you purchased the system from in the first place.  I would expect this to be your best choice in that they would already understand what you have in your system.
