I'm looking at some new speakers for my two year old church. We've been renting an Adventist Fellowship building, but we will be moving in a couple of months to a school auditorium setting. This means that whatever I select needs to be portable yet full range. The three main crieria I have are 1. budget, 2. sound quality, and 3. portability.
I have had good experience with Turbosound gear: Flood Lifht, HiLight, and most recently their TCS series. Of these three, the TCS range hits the "budget" target. However, the new TXD series caught my attention recently. They look similar to the TCS line in terms of specs. They aren't bi-ampable, but they do have fly points, and most importantly, they've got that cool Turbo Blue exterior. LOL
Does anyone have any educated opinions or experience with both of these lines--TCS and TXD? Irrational, emotional outbursts are also welcome--as long as they're funny!
Last thing, what other box in the $1K range would you recommend over the Turbo twins. Thanks for the input!
Just got off the phone with a friend who is a Turbosound dealer. TXD's are overpriced DJ gear... Q Light looks much better...
