Hi Rory B ,
Can your design be altered for a 12" driver as there is more choice in this size , you could increase the width upto 20" or so ?? Will you work on that ?

Walt ,
Are you thinking of designing another version of the punisher which will

be 40hz and also more driver friendly ?

Rory B ,
I think that problem is not there in the autotuba as the driver is only 100w

, also many have tested it  and found it satisfactory .

I designed a single 12"/double 8" horn for hifi use wich i think can be tuned for PA use. The hifi version geos down to 30 Hz (i have build the horn with double 8" configuration.
With some tweaking i think i can get more output and a botom around 40 Hz. The horn was originaly designed for the LAB12. It looks like the punisher, same folding.

And, i have been working on a double 10" 40 Hz horn for PA use. Here you can find the first drawing: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0SgD9Aj4Wkzwizp0amyMa!XUghqY9g O17UHA!qZbf5w2k1Ygmc192zzglm8PwFffZznGZEx9BHOCqJQOgvc*PCxirn GuixkezbNMOXMvpDEnIpJoEjys9PA/schets%2002.JPG?dc=46755098774 07877118

I only have a simulation of a single box on the net: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0UwA0A!kXdcJ1depvoeenaRB0qpJke P!oDwksNfMH4uo0fpz8NzzlcZWlX32YpHzbXe1rwhmljL29Y*xHaxRjjuAuH 1!5kCfnszH619V8MP17SewI4Ggy1va7tOyXzoMf/HLA%20BR%20vs%20HORN .JPG?dc=4675511920502531104

I designed this cab to use in a stack of 4. The dip won't be there if you use 4 cabs. the f3 of a stack of 4 is around 40 Hz. In the simulation the drivers can take up to 1000 watt each without reaching the xmax.
Max spl @ 1000 watt per driver (8000 total) in a stack of 4 is 144 dB @ one meter.
Dimensions are almost simular to the Mach Ballister, wich i think is a nice format.

Both designs are not the final designs, they need a bit of tuning before the preformance is optimal. If you are intrested i'm willing to work something out. You can contact me via email.

The curves 0f the 2x10" look interesting , we could call it younger brother of the lab sub ,

I have optimised the design and the curve looks a little different, a sligthly rising respone from 40 Hz to 100 Hz in a stack of 4.
The design is ready for some testen in the field. To bad i don't have money the build a proto type and do some tests. If somebody  want to invest in this project yopu can mail me for information. If not, i maybe build a proto type if i have some money to spend in the future.

And yes, it looks like the LAB. I wanted to use the same folding wich i think is the best compromise for this kind of sub.

what about your other horn with 2x8'drivers or a single 12'driver , please also mention the outer dimentions of this , have you tested this or this too is yet to be tested ,

Yes your 2x10" looks like a younger brother of the Lab sub , It is a very good project for those who want 40hz and smaller size than the Lab sub .
