Sean, I hope you can understand that the regulars here are very quick to call folks when the rules of engagement are broken. The marketing of new products by
anyone connected with the manufacturing, sale, or distribution of that product is clearly against the rules set forth by the powers that be here. Whether you like it or not, that's how the hell it is. The regulars around here are tend to defend those rules quite vigorously because this is one of very few places, if not the only place where live audio can be discussed without wading through flamewars, baiting, and marketing ca-ca. There's all kinds of "read this first before posting!" notices here and the marketing of new products is covered explicitly on those notices that you chose to ignore when you posted this.
"Oh, but this place is called 'product review', I'm not doing anything wrong!"
Oh, yes, you are. Again, the deal-breaker is that you are associated with the product. This area is for users
not affiliated with the product in any way as in the post I made about the new Yamaha SPX-2000 several months back. I'm a Kombat Audio guy and a buddy of mine brought his new SPX-2000 by a gig for me to play with and I wrote about that experience here. You are, indirectly or otherwise, connected with the sale and promotion of this product. That is one thing in itself, but you also failed to make mention of this when you originally posted. Most everyone here will consider that dishonest and mis-leading. Period. It's really too bad, too, because your product looks interesting. But
rules are rules are rules are rules. Actually, since the moderators of this forum have asked participants to refrain from moderating posts, I'm breaking a few rules myself in doing this. But I just can't help myself when I see such a flagrant violation of the rules going on here.
Don't be surprised to see this entire topic deleted by the moderators very soon. My apologies for my part of the rule-breaking today..
Respectfully,
Geri O
