Hi all.
Ive built Designed and built my own basshorn in the past but it was only a little 40hz 150litre cornerhorn.(btw it functions well in the house and sounds great(in the car too )And also my 7cube jbl box,which is all easy ofcourse due to being BR.

The wood was cut perfectly by the joiner,but i fudged it up.Its still airtight but the panels are off a few mm in places.I assembled it all at once using screws and glue only.
My problems with my little horn is,When i was going around laterally from the throat chamber,i didnt drill the baffles in from the side panel so they were slightly skewed-i think i should do each panel from the side as i do it.

Question-
In what order would you assemble things.

Ofcourse the critical things is the Throat chamber-so i should start there yes.

I know the typical idea is to draw around the parts when their in the right sport,predrill,Draw the parts on one side panel turn it over,predill that side and it should line up with the baffles inside.(mine didnt on the little horn due to me not attaching them to the side panel til id done ALL The internal baffles!So i know  NOT to do that..

Just thought that perhaps some one experienced could give me a pointer!

Assembly order depends a bit on the details of your joints.

Thanks brad..Il start from the throat since thats the most important and must be accurate-while expanding around it in a circular fashion like the labhorn

All my joins are just butt joints,this horn is for home use,18mm MDF with 18mm MDF bracing with swiss cheese holes in it.

Hi raj

That horn is a smaller mouthed,long path exponential approximation,with 33hz horn tuning for the horn.F3 is near 28hz

The idea was to get nice fun lows in the home.

1 in a corner 2 against a wall or 4 in half space

It could well be useful,maximum SPL is excursion limited with the 2226 in the midbass area.

Note that not all types of music warrant in pro usage require 33hz output,and a 42hz tune is much more useful,practical,efficient.

You mean that it will NOT make MUCH DIFFERENCE in the overall

sound ( in pro sound ) if we use 40hz horns, with a low cut at

40hz , is this it
