Yorkville elite sw1000 info?
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:11:04 PM »

Hey everyone, first post here...
I'm needing any info anyone might have on these subs, especially the tuning of the cabs. I've been tasked with bringing 4 of them back to life to handle whatever we might through at them, from EDM to folk/bluegrass. We have RCF L18P400's on order for the new drivers, my concern is the cabinet tuning in relation to these drivers. Also, any amp recommendations for driving the boxes once reloaded is welcome. They were be driven from a MA5002vz at 2 ohms per side in their prievious life. Sadly, it looks like that 5002vz is wired and running off of 110, planning on changing that over to 240 as soon as I can get the okay from the owner of the club. Thanks in advance for any help given.

Yorkville uses a standard sub EQ in their Elite line processors.  You can go to the Yorkville site and view the processor manuals.  They have adjustment curves charted for you to guestimate Freq, Q, and gain.  Check out the obsoleted ones (P or EP, I think).
