A few questions that need some answers
« on: September 08, 2004, 10:00:58 am »

Ok...i do DJ gigs. Basically pluggin turntabels and a mixer into my rack.

I'm worried about maintaining my LABs to the best they can be

I have 2 LAB subwoofers i sit side by side to the left of the stage.

My rack is simple, BBE sonic maximizer (does wonders for LPs) then a drive rack PA.

When i use limiting can that hurt the speakers at all?? (like a clipped signal does). Would it be better to match the amps to abotu 2x the RMS and turn on clip limiting and let the amp do the limiting for me that way i'll get the most out of my LABs??

What amps do you guys use to power you LABs?

I only have access to 15 amp plugs (no tapping in) when i'm playing smaller venues. So what do you suggest for the best amp(s) for the job. I have 2 RMX2450s i've been using on them now. Each are bridged to run to each cabinet (pushing...i don't even know how much)

Your advice is very appreciated
