Center Clustering subs
« on: February 11, 2011, 08:13:07 am »

Hi All,

When center clustering a block of 4 single 18"s, is it better to run the system in stereo or mono? Or is there no difference?

well, you can choose really depends on what your wanting to achieve.

If you wanted to still keep the stereo separation and be able to pan instruments, you could still feed the tops stereo and do mono subs, either by feeding them off an aux or by combining them together in the crossover if you have that function.

Or if your concerned about the spread of the audience and parts of it maybe missing out on certain instruments etc if things are panned away from them, you could just run the whole lot in mono.

really depends on the situation.
