Anyone remember "Stagecraft" lights?
« on: May 20, 2004, 02:47:11 pm »

They are no longer manufactured, but were a really cool portable (and I mean SMALL!) set of lights with a footswitch controller.
It was basically two boxes a little bigger than a toaster. each box contained 3 or 4 lamps (RGBY). they were stand-mountable and perfect for tight spaces and tiny stages.
No one seems to make anything like them these days. the closest thing is the "Color Bank" by Chauvet. Unfortunately, it is sound activated only ARRRGGGHH!
Any ideas for really small setup? I have 8-par cans on T-bars, but even that is too big for the venue we play regularly.

Thanks!

I know that Lightronics makes a foot controlled par 38 setup.  I think they call it the L-11.  You can add on an additional stand and lights to "expand" the system.

I hope that helped

MBT Lighting also has something simalar called the Port-A-Four which is a parcan with four lamps (RGBY).  Each lamp is only 250 watts.  You have to use a seperate dimmer to control them.

I had to put on my tennis shoes to jog my memory around the block Wink

IIRC there were marketed by Rapco, known primarily as an audio cable and assembly provider, located in S.E. Missouri.

I have no idea if they still sell them Sad
