Poor man's "laser" or "liquid" sky FX ???
« on: May 20, 2004, 01:56:31 PM »

Hi, just curious what everyone's experiences have been with any of the low end laser units that provide a "laser sky" type effect?

What would you recommend for $250 - $500 - $750 range that is worthwhile for an occasional special effect to be used with a live band.

I've played around with the 4.9mW "laser widow" type units for under $100 and found them to be a waste of time.  DMX control would be a plus, but really just a simple On / Off without any fancy adjustments would be Ok if the effect quality was decent. Any thoughts?

The Chauvete "Club Laser" nice green unit and thats about all it does, Different variations of the liquid sky effect. It should run you around the ball park of about $700.00 I think

I know American Dj has a copy and its got red & green. I have never used it though and would not be quick to recommend it.

Good luck.  Smile
