Long story short,
These guys had to change venues, instead of loading in at 10 am, it was bumped to after 1pm for a 5pm show, and they STILL pulled it off in a speedy and professional manner.

The Crew at the Grand Casino rocks!  And the system that Concert Systems USA provided(plus a great engineer) was top Notch!

Thanks guys for being so flexible and making us sound so good!

OK
Got the basics on what we played on:

Nexo Alpha E & JBL Power Pod wedges

WOW - the Nexo Alpha E rig was so smooth in this convention ballroom at the Grand Casino!  Think the subs were on a  6,000 watt amp and the mid and hi boxes were on a smaller amp(2k maybe).

I looked at the main graphic.  There was a single low end slider boost during the breaks for the dance music. (40hz maybe).
but everything else was FLAT.  Amazed me for a rig this size.
Even on the channel strip - vocals had some low end taken out. but nothing boosted.
Only other adjustments I saw were due to the podium mic's characteristics and proximity to the stage left mains.

Great Job guys!

Maybe they had a lot of EQ going on with DSP you didn't see?

May Have. That was the only part of the tour I didnt get during the last break.  Other than that, I felt I was shown every piece of gear.

Will have to ask I guess!

Hi,

The DSP for the Alpha-e system (Nexo NX241) is factory preset and not changeable by the end user (You can change a little bit for arraying and the crossover freq when using with S2 subs but that is all).

Therefore the rig would have been using the stock Alpha-e settings.

I have used an Alpha-e rig a few times and barely had to eq the rig - only had to apply a little room eq.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Simon
