In-Flames/Killswitch engage
« on: May 06, 2004, 08:52:07 AM »

hello again, yet another of my soon-to-be-frequent heads-up requests. Just so y'all know, I am now the "official" (we are 3, and before I was only brought in to accomodate english-speaking crews, when my schedule allowed) Head-Audio guy at Medley's in Montreal. We have In-Flames/Killswitch engage coming soon. Anything I should watch out for?

P.S. for those who came before, don'T worry, there are some audio changes coming soon........

Hi Frank.
Had In Flames here in Norway last month so the production might be a little different in the US. But heres a few things that i assume will be pretty much the same:
They bring their own production for In Flames to hook up on your PA-system and an in ear mon-system.
You provide wedges, mics and FOH for support.
I wouldnt worry, they are nice people and the crew is great.

PS: Say hi to the little mons engineer from the crazy norwegian Laughing Laughing Laughing

Good luck

Hi Frank. We had In Flames as support on a Slayer tour a few years back and they were all very cool. At the time the FOH/PM was a guy named Tom Kubik.

Hope this helps,

A little update as I have John on msn and he checked my post. Theyve done som changes, theyre not touring with a house console so they'll be using local FOH.

Enjoy the show.

We did them last week.  Its a pretty easy gig.  All inputs go to their monitor rack (no console, just a rack with crest pres), and they give you a fanout to your snake.  They are not carrying any FOH gear.
In Flames set up is way cool.  All guitar\bass amps are built into isolation boxes and their monitors are all in-ears, so their is absolutely NO stage volume except for ambient drums.
If As I Lay Dying is still their support watch out for your mics.  They totaled two 58s bouncing them off the stage and then threw one out to the crowd.
