To me they look like Coemar Fixtures and have almost the same DMX layout. That could be a possibility cause half the lighting industry is built by cross-pollination. Rolling Eyes  I was very happy with Coemar lights when I used them I think they are well built and very reliable so I definitely think it’s worth further investigation.

PS. If the standard GOBOs on a ROBE are the same as a Coemar, add new GOBOs into your budget!

We have 24 Robe lights. 12 575XT colorspots and 12 575 colorwashes.  They have done a great job and Robe is using our Church for thier ad run later this year.

pictures of our shows are here:  http://community.webshots.com/user/telemike

They have been working well for us.

Mike, the pics look good. What kind of beamer do you use? How does it handle the lights?

Not sure what you mean by "beamer". We do have a Sanyo LCD projector tho...

From the distance we are throwing from FOH to stage with the 8 spots located above our heads we are seeing that 575 watts is not enough and we would like to go with 1200 watt spots at FOH and then put more on the floor and back on the stage truss.

We have more moving lights (24) than any production company in the area and more than what some of the big secular concert shows do in town.

And they are all paid for!  Praise God.

I don't remember the details on the sanyo.  It does do a good job, but since we are throwing about 80-100 feet (30-40 meters) we should have gotten a little bit more powerful one. THe bands that come in for our concerts can't believe that a church has this many moving lights.  we aren;t that big either. we can seat 2200.

Does anyone have any cost comparisons to Robe lighting, compared to VariLite, Martin, etc? Where is a good place to find current prices on moving heads?
