Yes, There is no comparison. You hear a lab next to a vega you realize you have been missing an octave...lol

HaHa, that is the system I built for the non-profit organization to which I am the president. Unfortuniatly I think I overwrote the orignal picture when I made the avatar.  Sad

Actually that system is pretty intense. 4xcustom horns that I designed and built based on the formulas used to design the labsubs. (just 2x15" instad of 2x12 and a litle different folding to accomodate the extra horn length. 2x15 midbass and 1x15 in mid tops x 2. It is funny cause I bought 4 cheapo peavey plastic cabs and reloaded them with some eminence delta 15's and slenium dt205TI's and they sound pretty amazing.

Anyways to stay on topic, the labs definiatly outperform the vegas. I used to run 4 vegas a side (Cool for my club system. 2 labs per side easily surpasses output under 50hz and sound so much less distorted.

I havent used the Martin subs, to be honest I have heard alot of subs and I am truly impressed with the labs, and the design theory is more than sound as I was able to use the same fomulas on my own design as well and achieve some pretty amazing results.

If you have the capacity to build the labsubs I recommend them 100% over anything you can buy as they are truly amazing. I am gonna build another set of 4 labs this summer as I sold my other set. As much as I like and am proud of my own design the darn things are just too big!

As far as i know, the wsx cabinet has a higher cut off ~39hz.

The real matter is,that for a 30hz horn,is that the lab12 is the perfect driver for these horn parameters

(having 12mm xmax(per sub) helps too)
Cheers!

I just measured two WSX together at 3m distance. they had a -6dB lo freq. corner @50Hz... Very dissapointed...

I used to run a Martin rig using the WSX, and they do sound nice in stacks of 6, but due to their shorter horn path still don't go as low as the LabSub will.

Cheers
