Lab sub at the gigs
« on: April 16, 2004, 03:27:54 AM »

Halo there,

Well as we now have much more sophisticated forum I have an idea to improve this forum.
I think that we should make a small portfolio of pictures of the rigs containing Lab subs.
I am sure that now all around the globe are enough Lab sub users than can send fine pictures and make new on the following gigs, from the smallest gigs with just one Lab to the biggest with ??? number of Labs.
If you find this interesting I will be more than happy to find a site where we can keep them to be available to the public (my friend is a CTO at the main Internet provider here so wont be difficult) and updating it.
By the way I have just ordered the wood to be cut at the local wood shop so two Labs will be ready to rock for the party we are planing for 08.05.2004. It is a 5 parties continued show with trance DJ from all over the world so there will be enough pictures for start. I will also document the process of building the Labs.

Ok, think about this and give comments.

Regards from Macedonia
MarjanM

Here are some picture of our labhorns,

2 Pics in our Stock :

Here some pictures of LAbHorns sold by ATELIER33 (French Company) seen on the SIEL in Paris and the Frankfurt Messe (ask Tako  Very Happy )

On a gig (1000 People), 2 Labs were overkill.

On a Carnalval car (total crazy), certainly the fool in front of them...

What do you mean they are SOLD by a French Company?  Is a company copying the LAB and selling a complete unit?

Yes, but they won't answer our questions, they just told us: 2 12" inch Special made woofers, en 1 box  is equal to 6 18" Bassboxes...

Maybe Tako can give also more info (we saw them together a the Prolight+sound).

If somebody is in fact selling the labs, we need to take action. I have been lurking for a while on the old forums and if i understood correctly some people have questioned the legality of the license that was on the forum page. This would be a good time to test if in fact that license is legally binding

Hi,

I am also here. Yes we have seen this company and their "LABHORN".
This was very ugly. Silber painted. I gave him my business card and asked them to give me more info about their products, but no mails since that.
I have some Photos about manufacturing the LAB and will post this to the Shootout site, when I have time to convert them into smaller files... Very Happy

Cheers,

TT

Nice to see you all in the new forum.

We'll have a bassful event next weekend, with some hip-hop
bands outside, so i will make some pictures.
Do we post the pictures here or do i send them somewhere ? I think maby some of the people here don't have where to upload them...

Best regards to all,

Hello Bogdan,

I am glad to see that things are ok in Romania.
I am collecting pictures for making a larger archive. You can send them directly on my mail or post a link here if you have them somewhere on the server.
I have just finished the modules and making a lunch break so will be back at the garage in about hour or so to continue the work. I am working alone so it is damn slow (cant wait).

Regards
MarjanM

4 LabSubs stacked as you can see, powered by 2 QSC PL4.0.

Used tops, 2* Community SLS960 on each side. (QSC PL230).
SLS960 does not match a LabHorn. Better would be 3 SLS's for 2 Labs.

Technoevent in BELGIUM, hall was 150*150feet (50*50meter). LabHorns were overkill. But I've seen some people putting their head in the troath Very Happy
