What am I doing wrong?  

The red and blue (New Messages /no New Messages)Icon I notice several are blue as if I already read them, While infact I never saw them before.  Some however are red (unread as should be) Why some are as should and some not?  

When I do read the red ones they turn blue as expected. its just the reds are sometimes already blue which could make us overlook some threads thinking we already read them.
