truss systems
« on: October 10, 2011, 05:32:26 AM »

I'm starting to add to my lighting system, and i'm thinking of ditching the t-bars and going with a small truss system.
I am thinking of getting about 6m of truss, and using two tripod stands to hoist it up. I won't be putting alot of fixtures on it....maybe 8 LED cans, 2 scanners, and 2 moonflower effects. Now the question I'm wondering is....would 2 point trussing be strong enough for this application? (i'm thinking of maybe the global truss F32 http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_traverse_4051_f32.htm) or would I be better with say three point trussing ( http://www.thomann.de/gb/globaltruss_traverse_4079_f33.htm)
