Well, I fed a hard drive recorder's XLR line input and the pulse was still there.


If your main output is clean, try physically swapping your main outs with your mono outs. See if your mains hum with the mono feed.  That would tell you if it is in the feed (DSP failure/routing issue/ something else) or a problem with the omni output/cabling/ground loop, etc.

check the oscilator isn't on - that will give you a burst (if set to do such) from the outputs selected no matter where you patch it.
