Thank you Nils, but we'll wait and see how well Ned's and Steve's rebuilds turned out. They've been shipped back and I should know this week if I'm a hero or a zero.

The Bandmaster is a typical work of Ebay art. "Dear purchaser. When you reach behind the head to turn this amp on please be careful you don't;"

a. Put your hand in my 115 volt fan

b. Kill yourself with the 450 volt DC B+ voltage found at the bias jacks I put in.

Disclaimer;
My channel gain is your loss. Although this amp could have been salvaged I have intentionally reduced the resale value by drilling a hole through the serial number located on the back of the chassis. In closing, please do not call me questioning mods to the amp which are not documented, mostly do not work, or were performed using low grade components. I do not warranty the Italian Jensens. We all know they suck, but hey, you bought this amp, and now they're yours.

Have fun,
Uli

Notice he doesn't post any pics of the inside of the amp -- the horror...

Sad part is that $400 is pretty cheap and the speaker cabinet alone could be turned around for more than that.

The cab in that ad is pretty decent.  Definitely worth more than it's currently listed for.  It will probably bid up a lot before it sells.
If someone like Bob gets hold of it, it could be something (other than the shocking experience it currently is likely to be!)

Here's my BandMaster cab.  It's been rode hard and then.... rode again.

Oh baby is that cab screaming for a pair of WH 12s just like the WH 12s on the way to your house. Is that a 63 or 64 Steve ?

Nice tile work by the way.
