Hey guys
I am looking into a new warehouse space, and I am looking for a good source
to get a 1:1 100-200 amp 3 phase floor mounted Iso Transformer with accessories to mount
camlock panel for 3 phase tie in near it.
Transformer is to take 1950's industrial power 3 phase +ground, no neutral 400 amp service.
So I believe my transformer will need what is called a neutral center tap.
I could be wrong about this, but could still use a good source for this stuff.
Any help?
if your service has no neutral it is most likely Delta. Do you have a second 120/240 single phase service for lighting and appliance loads? Are you sure of the voltage on the 3ph service? It could also be 480...
As others have said, depending on your service you may need a 240D-120Y208 transformer. You need to find out what your voltage is. Where are you located?
Are you hooking this up yourself? Dont forget all the grounding and bonding requirements for the secondary of the transformer.
As far as cams, you may want to consider just putting a 3ph disconnect switch on the output of the xfmr and installing a set of cam tails on it after you see the low to mid 4 figure price tag on the 'company switch' type cam tie in panels.
