'America' Founder Dan Peak has died
« on: July 27, 2011, 07:16:42 PM »

One of the best vocal groups to come out of the 70's, IMHO.

Dan Peak was one of the founders and original members. He passed away on July 24, 2011.

RIP, Dan.

You had a wonderful voice!

Here's a video of him singing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRDnEqW1vAc

Check out all of the old school Beyerdynamic Mics

After the Beatles disbanded, America took their place as my favorite band. When Dan Peek left the group I gradually lost interest in them. Whenever I find time to strum my Martin guitar those memories and songs come back.

Dan Peek was much more than one third of the trio America; his passing is such a loss. He'll be dearly missed.
