question for PM5D users
Keith Broughton:
I was running a PM5D console on a festival and for 10 days and the "store recall" function worked as expected....the first 9 days.
There was a"template" that I used to start a patch and stored the band settings in a new location when done. Each band had the individual channels named in the displays.
Saved as per usual with all bands in different memory locations.
When recalling the different bands, no problem until the last night.
The headliner recalled with the channel names of the opening band.
In fact all of the saved bands came back with the same names!
As luck would have it, all other parameters were still intact.
I did not go into any menus and change anything and am at a loss to explain what happened.
After the console was shut down and re-started, all was normal.
Can anyone shed any light on this ? I'm stumped...

Input Patch is just one of the 4 things that can be stored with a scene on the PM5D (Scene, HA Data, Input Patch, Output Patch). It sounds like the scene was not linked to the proper input patch library.
I've had the same thing happen in the past. Unfortunately; in my case, the input patch recalled but the parameters did not. That wasn't a fun day.

hehe, I think I remember that day...
Cheers

I had a similar experience with my first 5d. I wasn't paying attention to "memory management". Console has 500 scenes but a limited number of library space. Check it out.

Damn! Forgot that you were here. At least we all persevered through the mess.
