Well you would though, if it were playing.

I have never heard them but I can wager a guess that there is not a single pair of speakers in the world that are worth that much money. its kind of like buying a designer handbag, you are just spending the money to impress someone else.

If I had $175,000 to blow on audio gear - it would by no means be these.

Maybe give me some Martin Longbows on some Lab Gruppens or something.

Yes - you get to say:

"these are $260,000 speakers"

.. if that sorta thing is important to you.

No, but I made what I consider to be a generous offer.

I was planning on getting a number of these for a 7.1 surround, the only thing holding me back is I don't think they will fit on top of my 27" color TV

Has anybody ever heard them?

No...  I would buy as much D&B Q-series as I could and call it a day.

I love how the item comes with free 'Economy' Delivery.  So, you spend 150,000 grand on your new speakers, but the company wont stretch that extra $50 to ship it properly  ???

Cheers

If I had $145.000 that I HAD to spend on getting the best sound in my home, I'd spend the $100k+ on the room and the rest on the gear (with the speakers as the top priority by far, though).

Westlake traditionally provides soffit-mounted main monitors for studios, so they probably sound pretty good (or at the very least, they sound clear and LOUD in a control room), but as someone posted earlier in the thread, it would make more sense to spend $100K on the room and spend whatever is left on the gear.
