I'm not sure what you mean by "honk"... a db rise in that range? The cabs were designed with 2226's but they sure sound good with Ciare.

 Maybe honk is the wrong way to put it, 250 -500 hz seems real hot, even after eq'ing.  Its just the tone of the speaker I guess.

Looks like I'm going to try faital pro 15fx560.  I have a pair of them and took them out of my single 15 with a 1'' horn box.

I couldn't get the Ciare to handle the power from 80 - 100 hz.  They would ony handle 780w at 80 hz, The faitals will take 1380w.  Seems like the box is to big for the ciares, and the ports are wrong.

I put the Faital 15fx560's in the box's, sound great, did 2 shows allready and can notice a difference.
