I have four of the passive elx118's and Loren is right. They sound good but they don't hit hard and they don't get very loud. I've owned dozens of subs and I got these as a light weight club sub. Won't buy any more of these. Two grand for output that is way less than what you could get out of a single Danley TH115. I got the same impression that Loren got, and before you berate his review, try them out for yourself. Better yet, here's a video of them operating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pUbLJSb2U0

Oh BTW, the tops are one passive elx 112 per side. One Crown xti4000 ran the tops (650 w per side, 8 ohms) and another xti4000 ran the four 118's.
