If your question is "Is it OK to use LED console lights?" then the answer is yes. if your question is something other than that, I have no idea what you're asking.

The lights that shipped with our SC-48 are LED.  You've got to turn them waaaaay down to see any dimming.  The lampies would say the dimmer curve is off.

Not sure if the older surfaces are LED friendly.  Did you post on the DUC forum?  Email Sheldon R.?

We had problems initially getting ANY console light to work with functional dimming in our SC48-- Digidesign couldn't even provide pinout info (recommended wiring).  Got it figured out through trial & error-- the circuit uses the resistance of the (incandescent) light itself as part of the voltage splitter for dimming function. Probing the socket didn't help, since there was no visible voltage change WITHOUT the resistance of the lamp in circuit. (2 pins both showed 12 volts-- connecting to one of those provides functional dimming, connecting to the other provides light, but incorrect dimming.)  My thought at the time is that this could cause problems with using LED lights (since they don't have the same inherent resistance), but I haven't gone back to try it.  (LED console lights with self-contained dimmer function should be fine, of course.)
Our SC48 is an earlier model-- might have changed by now.
