Suggestions for improvements
« on: January 14, 2011, 12:36:00 pm »

First, when you create a topic or reply, put the focus in a typing space.
For example, when I created this topic, I started typing the title expecting the focus to be there (I am not a touch typist so was watching the keyboard). When I looked up, nothing ...

For a reply, put it after the quote if there is one.

After more than a week of using this new stuff and bitching to my girlfriend about that I cannot tell which topics have new content what with the pastel color scheme, she pointed out that there was a word, new, in the subject line  :-[
I was looking in the old place for a color change. Can you at least make it a contrasting color?

I see while I am typing that the list of emoticons are too small to make out and are out of focus - fuzzy.

Thanks Rob-
I am taking all suggestions and prioritizing them as a master work list.
I'll respond directly with our findings.

Thanks Guy. I'd also suggest that in the spirit of following our rules to the letter, you may want to change your alias to your full name...

Yes, You can Click on the word NEW to start reading the topic where you left off last time you looked at it.

Any chance of making the "New" button a little bigger and a more distinctive color?

There are a couple of color issues that should be dealt with, like invisible links in the Curve skin, but I hope we are working on functional issues first.

Hi Mac,

Right now I'm reading on my Thinkpad X41 Tablet, 1024 x768 resolution.
The forum area is about 2/3 of the screen, while the ads are about 1/3.
Any way the ads can be narrower?

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

In the lower right hand corner there is a Logged icon that is for moderators to see the poster's IP address. Since this does nothing but take up space and clutter the posts for a non-moderators like myself, can it simply be remove?

EDIT: Hmm, I see that after posting I can see my own IP address. I have zero need for that information and clutter, can it be removed easily?

I am not positive, but I think that bottom line is reserved for forum notes, like the last edit time, so the IP address doesn't actually take up any space that would be otherwise usable.

It also does have a purpose for moderators as a link to Whois.

Two things I'd like changed:
- after posting, I'd rather be returned to the thread.
- when inserting a link in a post, there's no way of directly giving that link its own name without modifying the HTML code. (At least not with the WYSIWYG editor)
