@ my church we are looking to buy a cdplayer/mp3/ipod built in or 1 that has a dock built in,so suggesting i need and how do i get the best sound out of nono input on the sound console

I assume you are talking about a mono input to the console.

Use a Horizon/rapco LTI blox or TDI blox.  Depending on what connector you want-RCA or 1/8".

That will sum the outputs and provide a balanced output.

Two suggestions:

(1) iPods are very nice, but for far less money you get the same function, ease of use, and robustness from a Sansa Fuze or Clip.

(2) If I needed to replace my CD player at church I'd bring in my Panasonic BD-65 Blu Ray player and see how it worked. It plays CDs, DVDs, MP3 CDs, USB drives, and SD cards. It loads and cues pretty fast and you can turn off its power-saving features.
