Digital Signage Software for Mac
« on: October 18, 2010, 10:41:24 PM »

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Mac based digital signage software that we can use to create and play digital signage layouts. The signage should support live video, image slideshows, and news feeds.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi all. Looks like I may have found something. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of these guys. The software is called Media Sign Pro - Digital Signage Software.

I downloaded a trial and so far so good. All my tests and designs have worked great, and the app has a very good price tag. Does anyone have any real experience using this application? I still haven't set up a live video test (don't have the video firewire converter box yet), but everything else such as local video, slideshows and live news feeds work very well. And it is very easy to use.

Would be great if anyone has used live video or has any experience using this. If you have, please let me know!

Thanks!

We're a PC shop and use PowerPoint for indoor digital signage almost exclusively. Our otdoor digital sign lacks the resolution, or we'd probably use it there, as well.

I've heard that there is such a thing as Powerpoint for the Mac...

Well, before Windows, Microsoft mainly made software for Apple computers.  Apple's equivalent to Powerpoint is Keynote, which if I'm not mistaken comes standard with your Mac.
