Looking to build a 25' power/audio snake for my pedalboard. I have the VoodooLab Pedal Power 2, and would like a left-angle IEC connector to have the cable exit on the left side of the power unit and the pedalboard.

So far I've found a 15' length 14 gauge version here:
http://www.stayonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=10289

This would only ever be used to power a guitar pedalboard, and would be connected to a well-shielded 1/4" instrument cable to simplify setup. Ideally I'd want 20-25 feet total.

Is 15' the max length for an IEC cord, or does anyone know of longer lengths with that left-angled IEC connector?

Thanks.

I have 25' straight IEC cables and have seen 50'

You can make your own by the way.

Thanks steve - I have straight 25' which works. To have the cable exit the power unit closest to the edge of the pedalboard, it needs to be a left angle IEC - the opposite of the one in the connector page you sent.

I'll probablly just use straight and be done with it, as 15' won't cut it.

If you can live without the right angle, get them here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10228&cs_id=1022801

If you want to make your own: http://www.galco.com/scripts/cgiip.exe/WA/WCat/itemdtl.htm?pnum=320IEC15-MRCO&source=AdWords&gclid=CNa-qIGl-6MCFdj75wodXzBNJA

I prefer to use PowerCons whenever possible.  Of course you can't just run to the local appliance store and get one if your cable gets lost or buggered.

thanks Tim. Since this Edison-IEC will be made into a custom snake for a guitar pedalboard, and I'm the occasional amateur sound guy, I dont have any PowerCon gear, but do appreciate the connector and its benefits.

I'll be able to live with the power cable exiting the front of the pedalboard and making a 90° left turn before joining its audio cable in a snake for 25'.
